During her time on the County Council:

• Christiana delivered real, measurable results for our community by focusing on lowering costs and increasing affordability. She passed legislation to expand affordable and accessible housing options, raised the minimum wage, and provided free bus passes for students.
• She took bold action to protect the environment and lower energy costs at county government facilities, public schools, and Howard Community College. Christiana has supported policies to conserve 40% of Howard County’s land by 2040, expanded access to community solar, and is committed to making clean, affordable energy easier for residents to adopt.
• In her first year in office, her colleagues unanimously elected Christiana to serve as Chair of the Council, becoming the youngest woman ever to serve in that role.
